She's the talented actress who skyrocketed to fame as Eleven in Stranger Things — the powerful, telekinetic girl trying to understand her powers through nosebleeds and more, with that unforgettable "friends don't lie" line. 🌟
Her raw performance as a kid who escaped from a secret lab and found her real family made her a star at just 12, and she's continued shining in other projects, including filling large shoes by playing Sherlock Holmes' equally talented sister as the title heroine in Enola Holmes. 🕵️♀️
I'm a bigger fan of her huge heart and all the off-screen work she does to save and rehome dogs and animals of all types! 🐶🐕🐾
She's turned her Georgia farm into a sanctuary with over 60 animals: farm critters like goats, sheep, cows, and even a pregnant donkey. 🫏💚 Plus indoor dogs, cats, and a revolving door of so many adorable foster pups with her rescue Joey's Friends. 🐕🐈⬛🐾
Along with saving and finding homes for 230 dogs and counting, she carries a microchip scanner in her purse to scan strays, reunite lost ones with owners, or bring them to safety and find them a home. 🌟🐾👏

We were enjoying our second stay with Rock River Experiences and had planned a day around some of their outdoor recommendations. As raindrops pattered against the windows of our cozy vacation rental, these plans took a backseat. Little did we know that this rainy day would lead us on an unexpected adventure to what is recognized as “America's Largest Antique Store”—the Verona Factory Antique Mall, just a short drive away.

🌊 This short video shows just one of the many cascading waterfalls Crabtree Falls has to offer 💦 — a must-see gem in Virginia!
The trail climbs uphill with man-made stairs (some a little high — so bring a friend and a walking stick 🥾👯♀️).
It’s still only a moderate hike with multiple beautiful waterfall view spots 💧and even a small cave you can explore with the falls as a backdrop! 🪨✨
The trail winds past massive boulders, man-made steps, and several seating areas and overlooks of both the falls and the Blue Ridge Mountains 🌄— perfect for pausing to soak it all in.
You don’t even need to hike all the way to the top for it to be incredible — there’s a handicap-accessible path to the first falls ♿ and I highly recommend going at least 0.7 miles to reach the cave and more breathtaking waterfall views. 🍃
🏞️ Crabtree Falls — the tallest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi — just outside Rockbridge County in beautiful Nelson County! 🌟

Today's visit to Ben Salem Wayside was graced with a surprising and balmy 70 degrees, showcasing the Maury River and its surroundings in a serene state perfect for photography 📸.
The riverside beach, typically a magnet for swimmers and sunbathers, lay quiet, its sands untouched by footprints, while the river itself keeps on moving, stocked and ready for anglers to return 🎣.
